課程概述

The course is designed for students to have a solid overview of how applied (micro)economists think and see things that many other social scientists also care about. The course will be largely based "The Economy," an online open-access textbook which starts chapters with big questions from history and current affairs and then present the models for explaining real-world phenomena. Materials and examples focusing on individual choices and behavior from "Economics" by Acemoglu, Laibson, and List will be supplemented throughout the course.

課程目標
The goals of this course are for students to (1) develop economic way of thinking, (2) be interested in learning more about (applied) economics, and (3) be aware of the economic components in other social science disciplines.
